Simple original pieces for piano
This book has been written for beginner students who have been playing the piano about one to two years, and who like dreamy music for learning and for fun .... .I had eight year old students playing the songs as well as youngsters and adults ... The main purpose in writing the songs was to give students a fast success in experiencing themselves playing music they liked. Since every hand is different the fingerings are just a suggestion. So are the instructions for the use of the right pedal, as every instrument has a different sound. In pieces where pedal is indicated the sound should be spacious ...but clean.
Some of the songs invite to be transposed into different keys as an exercise. I consciously did not insert any suggestions for tempo, because I did not want the people playing the songs get the feeling they have to achieve a particular speed, rather than to play the pieces with beauty and feeling .... so I hope you'll have fun playing the songs.
